Blood Drive

Jesus gave his blood for us - offer your blood for others

Blood Drive: Sunday, June 30, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Blood Mobile, Parish House Parking Lot

Donate Blood to Honor our Military and First Responders

As part of our Patriotic Celebration, you can honor our military and first responders by donating blood from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Sunday, June 30. Always eat a hardy meal before donation (perhaps at our Patriotic Picnic!) and hydrate well for a few days before donating.

If you would like to donate but will be out of town for the holiday, you may give at the Blood Connection at any time and they will credit Christ Church for your donation.

You must be at least 16 years old (with a valid picture ID and a parental permission form), weigh at least weigh 110 pounds, have blood pressure within the limits of 180 / 100, temperature within a range of 98.6, and have iron levels 13 and above for males 12.5 and above for females. You can prescreen online. Donors must know all the name of medications they take daily, as well as locations of travel and dates. Diabetics can donate blood - it doesn't hurt them or the person receiving the blood. Nursing moms can donate - it doesn't hurt the mother or the child.

Health benefits of donating blood on a regular basis: lower your blood pressure, cholesterol, and sugar levels.

We hope you will donate with your fellow Christ Church parishioners on Sunday, June 30!

* Please bring a list of all medications you take and all out-of-country travel for the last 5 years. If you are currently taking antibiotics, you are deferred until 3 days after completing them. If you have been to Haiti in the last year, you will not be able to donate blood. It needs to be at least 56 days since your last donation in order to give.
