Rice Bowl Collections: June 17 - 24
All parishioners are invited to join the children attending Vacation Bible School in their service project! This year, we are collecting money for Rice Bowls. The money we will collect will go to Blessing The Children, an orphanage home in the Santos area of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The money will pay for the food to feed the seventeen children in the home. Plastic bowls will be handed out Sunday, June 17, during the church and chapel services. You can give money here. Rice bowls will be collected on Sunday, June 24, during the services. Questions? Rhythms of Grace: Worship Service for Families with Special Needs
Sunday, June 17, 3:00 PM, Markley Chapel

Children's Ministries offers a worship service for children and families with special needs. Rhythms of Grace is a worship service that engages children from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes and provides a way for all families to connect with a community of faith. The service will be on the third Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM in the chapel. For more information, contact Hedrick Lewis, 282.3103.

Art Camp: July 30 - August 3, 9:30 AM - 12 noon, All Saints Center
We are so excited about our first Art Camp at Christ Church! Open to rising 2nd - 6th graders, children from YouthBASE, Sterling Community Center, and Christ Church will be attending. The camp will be led by parishioners and local artists. The children will participate in two classes each day with a snack and play break. The classes will focus on a variety of arts such as singing, painting, printmaking, drawing, and making 3D art pieces. Cost: $50. Register online by Friday, July 13. Questions? Contact

Children's Library Open!
Children's Ministries is very excited to announce that we have opened a Children's library! The library is located on the second floor of the Parish House between room 215 and 217 and is open for all to check out Christian and secular children's books. Instructions on how to check out the books is on the bookcase. We hope you will encourage the children in your life to check out books! Sunday School - September through May

K3 - 5th Grade: 9:30 - 10:15 AM, 1st and 2nd Floor of Parish House
We continue using the Weaving God's Promises curriculum, which is rooted in the liturgical year. Children become engaged through prayer, story, and multiple activities.

Infants - Rising K3: 10:15 AM - 12:15 PM, Parish House, 1st Floor (Year-Round)
We provide a safe, warm, and unconditionally loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. We offer stories, activities, a snack, and, when the weather permits, children will enjoy one of the outdoor play areas. Contact Hedrick Lewis for questions about the nursery or if you would like to volunteer. Infants (3 - 23 months) will be in room 107 and 24 months to 2 year-olds will be in room 112. When a child is three years old by August, he or she will move out of the nursery wing to the 3 year old Sunday School Classroom.

FaithSteps: 10:15 AM, Parish House, Room 127 (September - May)
A worship alternative for children in K3 - K5/Primer during the 10:30 AM service. Teams of parents lead a chapel service, crafts, games, and serve a light snack.

Children's Church: 10:30 - 11:45 AM, Historic Church, Choir Room (September - May)
An age appropriate worship service geared toward K5 - 2nd graders. The children join one of our clergy for a Bible lesson and music. They return to the main worship space in time for Eucharist with their family.

Photo Release

We love taking photos and videos during Christ Church events to build community among parishioners and further the ministry. These photos and/or videos may be used in the Sunday bulletin, weekly eblast, on our website, in various publications and on social media websites. If you would not like us to use a photo of your child, please email Hedrick Lewis.


On occasion we will serve a special snack in Sunday School or FaithSteps. If your child has a food allergy that we should be aware of please contact Hedrick Lewis.

Christ Church Episcopal Preschool
