Rhythms of Grace: Worship Service for Families with Special Needs
Sunday, April 15, 3:00 PM, Markley Chapel

Children’s Ministries offers a worship service for children and families with special needs. Rhythms of Grace is a worship service that engages children from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes and provides a way for all families to connect with a community of faith. The service will be on the third Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM in the chapel. For more information, contact Hedrick Lewis, 282.3103.  

Vacation Bible School: June 18 - 22, 9:00 AM - 12 noon
Registration Deadline: Monday, May 4
Children in rising K4 - 3rd grade will enjoy a traditional VBS with the theme Rolling River Rampage: Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God! Children in rising 4th - 6th grade will go out into the Greenville community to help others through service projects at a variety of agencies. Cost: $30. 5th Grade Cookout: Friday, May 18, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Hedrick and Derek Lewis's House
We are starting a new tradition this year! Children's Ministries will have a cookout for 5th graders and their families. RSVP to Hedrick Lewis, 282.3103, by Monday, May 14.

Mother's Bible Study: Thursdays, 9:15 - 10:15 AM, Graham Library
Join us for a study group designed for moms that began in September and continues through the end of May. We will learn about how to be a person of faith, a wife, and a mother all at once using the book Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren. Children's Library Open!
Children’s Ministries is very excited to announce that we have opened a Children’s library! The library is located on the second floor of the Parish House between room 215 and 217 and is open for all to check out Christian and secular children’s books. Instructions on how to check out the books is on the bookcase. We hope you will encourage the children in your life to check out books! If you have any questions about the library, please contact Hedrick Lewis.

We continue using the Weaving God’s Promises curriculum, which is rooted in the liturgical year. Children become engaged through prayer, story, and multiple activities.

Childcare

Infants – 2K: 9:15 AM - 12:15 PM, Parish House, 1st Floor
We provide a safe, warm, and unconditionally loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. We offer stories, activities, a snack, and, when the weather permits, children will enjoy one of the outdoor play areas. Contact Hedrick Lewis for questions about the nursery or if you would like to volunteer. Infants (3 - 23 months) will be in room 107 and 24 months to 2 year-olds will be in room 112. When a child is three years old by August, he or she will move out of the nursery wing to the 3 year old Sunday School Classroom.

FaithSteps: 10:15 AM, Parish House, Room 127
A worship alternative for children in K3 - K5/Primer during the 10:30 AM service. Teams of parents lead a chapel service, crafts, games, and serve a light snack.

Children’s Church: 10:30 - 11:45 AM, Historic Church, Choir Room
An age appropriate worship service geared toward K5 - 2nd graders. The children join one of our clergy for a Bible lesson and music. They return to the main worship space in time for Eucharist with their family.

Photo Release

We love taking photos and videos during Christ Church events to build community among parishioners and further the ministry. These photos and/or videos may be used in the Sunday bulletin, weekly eblast, on our website, in various publications and on social media websites. If you would not like us to use a photo of your child, please email Hedrick Lewis.

Allergies

On occasion we will serve a special snack in Sunday School or FaithSteps. If your child has a food allergy that we should be aware of please contact Hedrick Lewis.

Christ Church Episcopal Preschool
