Andrea Helm is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the field of counseling for over 18 years. For the past three years Andrea has been providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families through the Palmetto Health Pastoral Counseling Center serving three sites in the upstate of South Carolina.

Andrea holds a Bachelors degree in Human Services from the State University of New York, Utica (1983) and a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina, Columbia (1993). She has worked in Gerontology, Substance Abuse, Psychiatry and Family Therapy in various settings. She was also a therapist at the Baptist Medical Center, Columbia from 1988 to 1997 in the department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry.

She moved to Columbia, SC from Valley Stream, NY in 1984, and married her husband, John in 1985. Andrea and John have two children, Morgan, 13 and Bennett, 10. They relocated to Greenville 8 years ago. She is a member at The Church of the Redeemer, Greenville serving as Vestry clerk, on altar guild and as a Godly Play instructor. Andrea grew up in the Episcopal Church and is excited to be joining the Canterbury Counseling Center. Andrea is an active individual and enjoys swimming, running and exploring the upstate with her family.
