Jennifer Hedden

Faith Development Coordinator

Jennifer is a 2008 graduate of Erskine College with majors in Business Administration and Spanish, and joined our staff in June 2008.  As Program Coordinator, she serves as the hub of the Discipleship Team, managing all administrative aspects of the classes, programs and groups offered for all ages.  Jennifer also acts as the administrative assistant to the Discipleship Team and is  available to coordinate and support the activities of the lay leaders in the Discipleship ministry. Her favorite scripture is James 1:19. Jennifer is married and enjoys hiking with her husband and their dog.  In her free

time, Jennifer likes running, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family.

Heather Meadors

Director, Christ Church Episcopal Preschool,
Children's Ministries Team Leader

Heather began the directorship of CCEP in 2001.  Her role is to manage the  40+ preschool staff members, nurture the 200 children and maintain an excellent curriculum. Her role in Children's ministry is to assist in creating a dynamic overall program for the children of our parish, age infants through 5th grade. Heather's favorite scripture is Proverbs 22:6. She is married to her childhood friend and they have two children. Their family is completed by a black cat and a crazy mutt. Heather loves to exercise, read, and laugh!

Lei Offerle

Director of Children's Ministries

Children's Ministries welcomes our youngest with a well staffed and loving nursery held during Sunday worship services, Wednesdays at Christ Church, and many special events. This ministry also involves all educational programs for children in 3K-5th grade and many fellowship opportunities for children and families. Lei's favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6. Lei is married and has two daughters and a son. She loves to read and enjoys watching almost all sports.

Joel Tassie

Director of Middle School and College Ministries

Joel has been with Christ Church since 2006 and is passionate about his love of Jesus. Wanting to share this passion with students grades 6-college through playing, musical worship and teaching, he strives to connect student and adult leadership with those to whom they minister. Joel's favorite scripture is Romans 12:1 which says "offer yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God -  this is your spiritual act of worship." Joel has been married to his wife for 20 years, has two children in college and one in elementary school. He likes spending time with his family, playing his guitar and Ultimate Frisbee whenever he gets the chance.

Frances Poe

Director of Young Adult Ministries

The Young Adult Ministry focuses on bringing all of those aged twenty-two to thirty-five into a closer relationship with Christ, whether they are single, married, or married with children. A lifelong member of Christ Church, Frances graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Art Education and a minor in Philosophy and Religion. Her already broad and varied work and life experiences include teaching middle school art, living and working in New Zealand, and being an art curator. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 37:4.

Annette Cook

Director of Middlers & Senior Adult Ministries

The Senior Adult Ministries at Christ Church encompasses discipleship and pastoral care for and by senior adult parishioners. Annette has been a member of Christ Church since 2001. She graduated from Agnes Scott College having studied religion and theater and attended graduate school in anthropology and religion. She did her thesis research in Thailand for two years. She started working with senior adults in various capacities soon after college. Textile arts, jewelry making, reading and swimming are a few of her interests. At Christ Church, she is a member of the Order of St. Luke healing prayer ministry, a lay chaplain with the Community of Hope and, for recreation, sings in the choir.
