Epiphany at Christ Church

Epiphany Burning of the Greens & Oyster Roast
Saturday, January 6, Church Parking Lot and Parish House, 6:00 PM

Epiphany celebrates the light of Christ being revealed to the wider world. As we move into this new season, the greenery used to decorate for Christmas has served its purpose, and the fire from burning the wreaths and garlands celebrates the light and warmth of Christ coming into the world.

Burning of the Greens
We will gather in the main church parking lot off Washington Street to enjoy a short liturgy and small bonfire as we burn the greenery from the Christmas season. This exciting event is for all ages.

Oyster Roast
After the burning of the greens, the adults will move to McKissick Refectory and the Donkle Courtyard for an oyster roast with plenty of delicious non-oyster food options, your favorite beverages, and live music by Louie Sagedy. There will be childcare and age appropriate Epiphany-themed activities for infants through 5th grade in the Parish House, and middle and high school youth will move to the All Saints Center for their own fun. Pizza, fruit, and drinks will be provided for the children and youth.

Registration deadline has passed.
