We welcome and encourage you to become a member of Christ Church!
All those who are considering membership, or who have become members by Baptism are asked to participate in the offerings that have been especially formulated for prospective / new members and are designed to help you get to know Christ Church. They are:
Informational Campus Tours
An informal way to get a basic introduction to Christ Church, ask questions, and meet clergy and staff. Includes a personal, guided tour of our Church, Chapel, Parish House, and All Saints Center. To schedule an appointment contact Marie Taylor.
Discovery Weekend
Discovery Weekend is designed for adults who are interested in confirmation, reaffirmation, or reception in the Episcopal Church. We also welcome and encourage participation from new members and those exploring membership who are seeking to know more about our parish ministries. This “in house” weekend will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Episcopal Church and Christ Church. During Discovery Weekend, information will be presented by clergy and lay leaders through worship, presentations, table discussion, and question/answer sessions. Our next Discovery Weekend will be held October 25-27. Download the registration form. For information contact Marie Taylor.
Beyond Discovery
Participants in Discovery Weekend, as well as any others interested in a refresher course in our history and practice, are invited to continue their education in Beyond Discovery. Beyond Discovery is taught by a member of the clergy and allows participants to learn in detail about some key components of our faith while also engaging with their questions, whether it fits the topic or not.

_________________________________________________
The following statement from our canons (the rules which govern our church life) set forth the basis for membership:
All persons who have received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism with
water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
whether in this Church or in another Christian Church, and whose
Baptisms have been duly recorded in this Church, are members thereof.
Which means that:
If you have never been baptized, and are baptized here, you become a member of Christ Church.
- or -
If you were baptized in another Church (either another Episcopal Church
or another Christian Church), and you transfer the record of that
baptism to us, you become a member of Christ Church.
