Donation or Wishlist

The following Faith in Action partners are currently accepting donations or requesting items for a wishlist:

United Ministries

United Ministries needs donations of the following items. If you would like to make a donation, please drop it off at Christ Church Episcopal in the United Ministries baskets or take it directly to United Ministries.  
  • Loose leaf paper (for GED students)
  • 3-prong pocket folders (to make study folders for GED students)
  • Thank You notes (for participants to use after interviews)
  • Small capacity flash drives (especially for participants without home computers for resumes, cover letters, etc.)
  • Pocket calendars (helps participants apply lessons about organization and time management)
  • 3-ring binders (for job trainees)
  • Razors (for homeless participants to shave)
  • Hydrogen peroxide (for homeless participants to use after shaving)
  • Jumpsuits, long-sleeve overalls (for homeless participants to wear while their clothes are being washed)
  • Nail clippers (for homeless participants to clip their nails)
  • Powdered milk, navy beans, butter beans, pork and beans, black beans, refried beans (food pantry)
  • Canned beef, canned ham, canned chicken, canned salmon, SPAM/Treat or hearty ready-to-go meals like beef stew and chili with meat.

Pendleton Place
The Pendleton Place Family and Child Assessment Center has been really busy! We have given away 1,426 items to 88 children and foster families since February. Our stock is running low and we have a lot of young children to serve. Can you help us rebuild our supply? You can make a donation as an individual or get together with a group of friends and start a collection! Every little bit makes a difference!

We need the following items:

  • Pull ups (Sizes 3T-6)
  • Diapers (we are really low on size 1)       
  • Sippy cups
  • Children's shoes
  • Diaper cream
  • Children's toothpaste
  • Bibs
  • Burp cloths
  • Receiving blankets
  • Children's/toddler/baby clothing
  • Gerber Goodstart Gentle Formula
  • Pacifiers

Haiti Wish List
Doing some summer cleanout? We collect items throughout the year to ship to Haiti in a cargo container. Click here for a full wish list and instructions on donating the items.

GAIHN
Have a bed that you no longer need collecting dust in the attic or garage? Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (GAIHN) has several families moving into permanent housing and GAIHN interim housing units, and needs beds to help start them off on their new journeys in comfort. Queen and single sizes are ideal, but they are grateful for all donations. If you would like to donate a bed, please contact Tony McDade, 271.3424, to arrange pick up.

Greenville Free Medical Clinic
The Greenville Free Medical Clinic needs donations of the following items. If you would like to make a donation, please drop it off at the Clinic at 600 Arlington Avenue.

  • Non-prescription pain relievers
  • Non-prescription medications (cold medicine, cough syrup, allergy medicine, etc.)
  • Medical supplies
  • Reading glasses
  • Cleaning supplies (Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, Lysol spray, etc.)
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss
  • Office supplies
  • Paper products (facial and toilet tissue, paper towels, cups, etc.)
  • Coffee, tea and snacks for volunteers

Meals on Wheels
They are in need of pet food donations to help feed the pets of seniors and other homebound individuals in our community. If you are at all able to help, please drop off unopened bags of cat or dog food to the following locations:

A Child's Haven
A Child's Haven is in need of donations of SIX four or five drawer file cabinets for their offices. If you have extra file cabinets at your home or office, please contact Rebekah Muhilly.

Gateway House
Assist clients of Gateway House, a rehabilitation program for men and women in Greenville County suffering from mental illness by providing items for those who are living independently. Dishes, toaster ovens, alarm clocks, linens and other items for those in apartments are needed. Contact the Gateway House at 242.9193 or click here for more information.

Habitat for Humanity
Remodeling your house or considering a major renovation project? Habitat for Humanity offers tax-deductible material removal and deconstruction services. All donations of salvageable building materials, including countertops, sinks, appliances, doors, windows, electrical appliances and more help support affordable housing and the mission of Habitat for Humanity in our community. Safe Harbor
Safe Harbor accepts a wide variety of items, including furniture, clothing and household items for their Resale Shop, and clothing, food, and monetary donations that help with women and children trying to rebuild their lives after domestic violence. Learn more.
