For nearly 200 years, we have gathered at Christ Church to live out God's story. Blessed by a vibrant parish community and an historic church home, we have been given much - by God, and by the many faithful parishioners who have come before us. Now, it is our responsibility, and our privilege, to preserve this history and these blessings for our children, and for our children's children. There is a part of this historic church in all of us. Let us now do our part - as we, grateful for our past, and mindful of our future, help to tell His story at Christ Church for generations to come.
Since our church building was completed in 1854, many at Christ Church have been dedicated to its care. Blessed by the sacrifices and efforts before us, it is now our turn - to restore our historic church, reduce our debt, and ready it for future generations.

Funds raised during History Lives: The Campaign for Christ Church will be used for the following:
There really is no option as far as taking care of the church. Untouched for 46 years, restoration is needed, now - from roofing and structural work to masonry and water damage repair. Anticipated repairs include:
- Replacing our 50-year-old roof
- Restoring the stained glass windows and frames
- Fixing the foundation to prevent flooding of the undercroft
- Protecting the church with updates to HVAC and plumbing, and the addition of a sprinkler system
- Repairing the exterior of the church, notably brick mortar joints and buttresses
As Christ Church has evolved alongside downtown Greenville, past leadership of Christ Church stepped out in faith to both acquire land and renovate the lower level of our Parish House. The resulting expansion of our preschool has truly blessed our parish, enabling us to more fully minister to the needs of young families both during the week and on Sundays. One only needs to walk past these classrooms to see how God is at work as a result of this project. But the resulting debt has restricted our church's ministry. Addressing this debt will free up our budget, making possible funds for ministries both inside and outside our church.
