Jubilee Ministries

Jubilee Ministries is an effort to make service projects routine and accessible throughout the entire parish.  With origins in Fr. Pat Gahan's presentation at the 2010 Parish Retreat, Jubilee Ministries seeks to offer an assortment of easy-entry ministry opportunities ever 6-7 weeks throughout the year.

The organizing concept is simply.  Every third project we will undertake a major construction-type project.  In between, we will do canned food drives, days of giving, and holiday themed projects like St. Nicholas Day and Miracle Manger.

Jubilee Ministries was inaugurated with the GROW events when nearly 200 parishioners renovated Stephen's House, the transitional housing program of Project Care for homeless people living with HIV.

Our hope is that every member of the parish will participate in the Jubilee Ministries and that this participation will lead them to greater involvement in the life of their neighbors, particularly those considered the least among us.  Jubilee Ministries is intentional about providing opportunities for all skill levels and abilities as well as structuring the work within the frame of prayer.

Jubilee is coordinated by Lou O'Brien under the auspices of the Faith in Action Team.
