At Christ Church Episcopal, we mark the important transitional point for our current 5th and 6th graders with a special rite of passage called the Orimos Service. The service symbolically marks a new beginning as your youth takes a meaningful step in maturity that requires a commitment today and in the future of your youth, family, youth leaders, the Parish, and the Diocese. The registration deadline has passed. Contact Hannah Flack to learn more about Orimos. Please note that we will be offering two Orimos parent meetings: one on Wednesday, April 4, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in McKissick Refectory and one Wednesday, April 11, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in McKissick Refectory.

Boy Scouts
This is the traditional Scouting experience for young men. With more than 130 Merit Badges, from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival, Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By imagining, planning, then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking, and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.

Troop 511 welcomes young men ages 11 - 17. We typically meet for an hour the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, plus one outdoor adventure each month. We also spend a week at summer camp.
For more information, please contact Scoutmaster Chris Garrett at 864.505.4369. Register online here.
