O Come, let us sing unto the Lord. Let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our salvation.” Psalm 95
The Anglican church brings a rich tradition of glorious music to the worship service. Someone once said that "music is the soul's own speech." And at Christ Church our souls speak through a variety of means:
Christ Church Adult Choir
A talented group of committed parishioners offer music at the 9:00 AM (Rite II) and 11:15 AM (Rite I) services in the Church. We offer a wide variety of music from traditional Anglican to modern day composers. The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the undercroft of the church.
11:15 AM Contemporary Praise and Worship Band
This dynamic group of musicians leads our Contemporary Worship service with modern worship songs mixed with updated hymns of the church. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:30 PM in the All Saints Center gym. Contact Tina Broussard for more information.
Celebration Ringers
5 Octave Handbell Ensemble for Adult Ringers
Participants must be able to read music and rehearse from 6:30 - 7:30 PM on Wednesday evenings September-April. Contact David Turner to participate.
Children's Choirs
Music making starts very young at Christ Church. Children’s choirs sing in various services throughout the school year and meet Wednesdays throughout the winter and spring season. Contact Tina Broussard for more information.
Wednesday 5:45 PM Band
Guitars, recorders, various stringed and woodwind instruments, and more are featured at our Wednesday evening 5:45 PM service in Markley Chapel.
Taize Worship Service
A quiet reflective service offered every other month in the Chapel that includes various instruments such as the harp, recorder, clarinet, oboe and keyboard.
Christ Church Organ
We are privileged to have a beautiful Goulding and Wood Pipe Organ to aid in the Musical Worship in the Church. Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our Organ! We have several exciting events to showcase the Christ Church Pipe Organ. View the complete event brochure.
