Men's Retreat

December 3-4, 2010 in the All Saints Center. $20 registration.

Speaker:  the Rev. Robert Fain, Rector, Church of the Good Shepherd, Augusta, Ga. “The ministry of ordinary Christians in the world is the primary expression of the ministry of the Church.” What do our men need to know, be able to say, and be doing in the world in order to be the primary expression of the Church’s ministry?

Friday night – Keynote presentation; Oyster Roast
Saturday – Keynote presentation; small groups (ends with lunch)

Cursillo

One of the adult retreats/conferences we offer through Christ Church is Cursillos in Christianity. “Cursillo” is a Spanish word meaning “short course.” Cursillos are offered Thursday night through Sunday afternoons 2-4 times a year at the Gravatt Camp and Conference near Aiken, SC.

A Cursillo Weekend is a time of encouragement and learning in a positive and spiritual environment for individuals or couples who are already participating members of the Church. Great meals, uplifting music and meaningful worship, short teachings by priest and lay persons, and small group time combine for a fulfilling weekend.

Upcoming Cursillos are October 6-9, 2010 and February 2-5, 2011. The cost of attending the three days is $175 and includes meals and lodging from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon.
