Safeguarding God's People Training

If you are a lay leader involved in ministry which may result in one-on-one contact with a parishioner, we welcome and encourage the opportunity for you to become certified in Safeguarding God's People (formerly Safe Church) procedures. Those taking the course for the first time must take the traditional classroom version. This course is free for Christ Church members, CCEP and CCES employees when taken here. For everyone else the cost is $10 for materials. There are costs associated with training at other locations as well, ranging from $10 - $15.

To be eligible to take the renewal online, you must have completed Safe Church Training in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina. Members of churches other than Christ Church should contact the diocese directly to sign up for the online renewal course. For more details, click here.
