Through trips, classes, lunches and programs we engage each other and challenge ourselves to continue our transformational encounters with Christ. Christ Church Senior Adults enjoy fellowship and Christian community while blessing the parish and city with our depth of spiritual maturity and wisdom.

The Cow Pens - 18 Minutes that Helped Form America: Lecture with John Boyd

John Boyd will talk to us about the lesser known part that the south played in the Revolutionary War, especially the Battle of Cowpens and we’ll have lunch. Cost: $9. Reservations are due to Annette at 672.4141.

Bela Fleck in Concert: Saturday, August 17, 4:30 – 11:30 PM, Brevard
This was the most popular Concert we attended last year and tickets sell out early. Reserve now or risk missing out on America’s best banjo player and about 30 more student and professional players. The cost is $45.00 per person and includes a picnic supper, tickets and transportation. Bring your own lawn chair and umbrella since this is a rain-or-shine event. This is a midweek re-charging of the spirit through worship and conversation. We gather in the coffee area outside Markley Chapel for light refreshments and fellowship following the service.

Art of the Spirit: Thursdays 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Room 222
No talent required, just enthusiasm. We are learning mixed media or working on pieces for outreach programs as the Blessed Brushes Ministry. The focus is on how committed we are to opening up to God; and we are all beginners there. Call Annette Cook, 672.4141, before Thursday to be sure we aren’t on a gallery tour.

Friendly Bridge: Mondays, 1:30 - 3:30 PM, Graham Library
This group is for beginners, advanced players, and those who think they MIGHT want to learn bridge so all skill levels are welcome. You do not have to be a member to join us. Cards and fellowship are a time-honored tradition we want to revive at Christ Church. Questions? Contact Annette Cook, 672.4141.

Worship Service at Autumn Leaves
The 2nd Friday of every month, 10:00 AM, 352 Pelham Road

This new service is an outreach of the Senior Adult Ministry, and parishioners are invited to worship and visit with the residents of Autumn Leaves. If you plan to attend, please contact Annette Cook, 697.4141 by 12 noon on the Thursday before.

Worship at the Cascades
The 3rd third Friday of every month, 10:30 AM, 10 Fountainview Terrace

The Rev. Jeffrey Meadowcroft celebrates the Eucharist at the Cascades the 3rd Friday of each month. Everyone is invited to join our Christ Church residents for an informal, holy time. 

Wednesday Morning Fellowship: 11:00 AM, Coffee Area Outside the Chapel
Worship and fellowship in this setting create the perfect atmosphere to meet parishioners, solidify friendships, and enjoy a mid-week break. We gather in the coffee area outside Markley Chapel for light refreshments and fellowship following the service.
