Between Sundays: Weekday Offerings

Because Christ Church is a large parish, small groups are a great way to connect and enjoy more intimate fellowship with others in our church community. At Christ Church, you will find a wide variety of groups that exist to inspire spiritual growth centered around the Bible, worship, prayer, outreach and fellowship.

Sundays

Education for Ministry (EfM): Time to be determined by participants, Thomas Library

Your one-year at a time commitment focuses on intensive reading and weekly seminars guided by laypeople. Interested? Ron Gregory, 979.4339, for more information.

JustFaith: Sundays starting September 17, 5:00 - 7:30 PM, Room 217
Registration is due by Monday, September 11

JustFaith is a study that explores the implications of being faithful disciples of Jesus today by taking care of the earth and all of God’s people. Small groups explore systemic realities impacting the lives of people all over the world. Through prayer, readings, dialogue, and connections with people at the margins in the Greenville area, JustFaith participants become a caring community of support.

Inspired by new insights, participants will nurture the passion, compassion, and patience that prepares them for the gospel work of social ministry. Chose a time that works best for you: Just Faith sessions will be held on Thursday mornings from 9:30 AM until 12 noon or on Sundays from 5:00 - 7:30 PM. Cursillo

One of the adult retreats/conferences we offer through Christ Church is Cursillo. “Cursillo” is a Spanish word meaning “short course.” Cursillo Weekends are offered Thursday night through Sunday afternoons three times a year at the Gravatt Camp and Conference near Aiken, SC.

A Cursillo Weekend is a time of encouragement and learning in a positive and spiritual environment for individuals or couples who are already participating members of the Church. Great meals, uplifting music and meaningful worship, short teachings by priest and lay persons, and small group time combine for a fulfilling weekend.

Learn more about Cursillo.

Small Groups

A Small Group is a group of about 12 adults who meet regularly (twice a month would be typical) for Christian fellowship, study, prayer, and service. For more information contact Holly Melton, 672.4155.
