Between Sundays: Weekday Offerings

Sunday School & Weekday Bible Studies begin September 8!

Because Christ Church is a large parish, weekday Bible studies and classes are a great way to connect and enjoy more intimate fellowship with others in our church community. At Christ Church, you will find a wide variety of groups that exist to inspire spiritual growth centered around the Bible, worship, prayer, outreach and fellowship.

Centering Prayer: 12:15 - 1:30 PM, St. Luke’s Chapel

This type of silent prayer can lead to a closer relationship with God. It’s a 20-minute, twice-a-day practice. Participants in this weekly group can help you weave it into your life. The class meets year-round. In August, the group will read Manifesting God by Father Thomas Keating. Facilitated by Judy Lineback, Cynthia Fore, and others.

Thursdays

The Blessed Brushes are part of this group and you too can participate in this ministry. Facilitated by Annette Cook. Cursillo

One of the adult retreats/conferences we offer through Christ Church is Cursillo. “Cursillo” is a Spanish word meaning “short course.” Cursillo Weekends are offered Thursday night through Sunday afternoons three times a year at the Gravatt Camp and Conference near Aiken, SC.

A Cursillo Weekend is a time of encouragement and learning in a positive and spiritual environment for individuals or couples who are already participating members of the Church. Great meals, uplifting music and meaningful worship, short teachings by priest and lay persons, and small group time combine for a fulfilling weekend.

Learn more about Cursillo.

Small Groups

A Small Group is a group of about 12 adults who meet regularly (twice a month would be typical) for Christian fellowship, study, prayer, and service. For more information contact Holly Melton.
