IMPACT
- 200 bags of food were packed for the United Ministries Food Pantry. Each bag will feed a family of four for three days equaling 7,200 meals.
- 48% of children attending Greenville County Schools receive free or reduced price breakfast and lunch. Christ Church has adopted 25 kids to feed on the weekends for the 2012 - 2013 school year. Each Friday, food is slipped into their backpacks to sustain them over the weekend. We packed eight weekends worth of food on Sunday equaling 1,200 meals.
- Children who come to school hungry and families seeking help from food banks also lack the resources to brush their teeth and wash their face. We packed toiletry bags for each of the 25 students we have adopted at Robert E. Cashion Elementary School so they will start the new school year clean as well as 75 other toiletry bags for United Ministries.
- Items such as soup mixes and hand painted wrapping paper were prepared for the All Saints Bazaar in November. The items made will be sold to fund scholarships for United Ministries’ Certified Nursing Assistants Program which helps capable people learn skills for jobs, stopping the cycle of poverty.
