Scholarship News - Attention High School Seniors and Parents!

The Bena Dial Scholarship offered by the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina is soliciting applications for its 2012-2013 scholarship. Bena Dial scholars are active Episcopalians who must use the award to attend, as a full-time student, an accredited college, vocational school, or graduate school. Selection criteria are academic and extra curricular school and/or community activities, church activities, and financial need.

ECW Palmetto Olive Oil Company Private Tasting
March 20, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) are headed to Palmetto Olive Oil Company (2247 Augusta Street) for a fun night with new friends, fellowship and a chance to refine our gourmet palates! We’ll sample delectable olive oil and vinegar with delicious breads and other tasting treats. This event is free of charge but reservations are limited so sign up below. Christ Church ECW

The Christ Church ECW has experienced a year of renewed energy and commitment. The women of the church have enjoyed several well-attended social events, contributed to the organization monetarily, revitalized long-standing ECW committees, and worked together to produce an outstanding All Saints Bazaar.

The ECW celebrated these successes at a Christmas Drop-in on Saturday, December 10. At the drop-in, the following grants were awarded:

$500 to Christ Church College Ministries
$1,500 to Christ Church Food Ministries for new kitchen equipment
$1,500 to Canterbury Counseling Center for financial assistance
for clients
$4,500 to Safe Harbor

In addition, the ECW contributed $1,078 to the Diocesan ECW to support Diocesan and National ECW projects. Remaining funds will be used to fund the 2012 ECW budget and support projects of the Christ Church ECW.
