News from the Episcopal Church Women
The Episcopal Church Women United Thank Offering Spring Ingathering was held Sunday, May 19 and $1,785.32 was collected here at Christ Church. These contributions will be combined with funds from other dioceses to fund grants to promote health and well-being.
Our diocese submitted only one grant and it was approved for 2013 funding. The Camp Gravatt Farm Project was funded for $28,385 to purchase needed equipment for a year-round environmental program, with a special focus on gardening in Gravatt’s Reach Out Camp. The Gravatt Farm will serve as a classroom for participants to learn how to plant, care for and harvest vegetables.
