Faith Development: Youth

Our Youth Ministry exists to help our middle and high school youth have a personal relationship with Jesus and feel God's power in their lives. We see this happen through connection: connecting students to God, their peers, and to mentors. Check out what's happening in the Youth Ministry right now and find a place to connect!

Boy Scouts
This is the traditional Scouting experience for young men. With more than 130 Merit Badges, from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival, Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting's highest rank: Eagle. By imagining, planning, then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking, and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.

Troop 511 welcomes young men ages 11 - 17. We typically meet for an hour the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, plus one outdoor adventure each month. We also spend a week at summer camp.

Chris Garrett has stepped down as Scoutmaster after serving several years. For more information about scouting, please contact the new Scoutmaster Ben OHanlan at 864.238.3869. Register online here.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Does your youth participate in any extra-curricular activities? We would love to come and support them! Please email Hannah the dates, times, and locations of any activities. We would love to support and cheer on your youth!
