Faith Development: Youth

Our Youth Ministry exists to help our middle and high school youth have a personal relationship with Jesus and feel God's power in their lives. We see this happen through connection: connecting students to God, their peers, and to mentors. Check out what's happening in the Youth Ministry right now and find a place to connect!

“Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.”

Please let us know how we can be of any help or assistance to your youth and family during this time. We are lifting each of you up in our prayers.

With hope,

Youth Ministry Team at Christ Church

Student Leadership Team (SLT) at Christ Church

We have opened applications for the 2020-2021 school year.  The Student Leadership Team or (SLT) is made up of high school students who attend Christ Church Episcopal.  The Student Leadership Team is responsible for assisting with planning, participating, and serving as a leader to the Middle School ministry programs at Christ Church. The decision to serve on this team is a responsibility and a commitment.  We will spend time together in community learning about Christ modeled student leadership, supporting one another, and learning how to facilitate and lead others.  In addition to attending the Middle School EYC, the SLT group will have scheduled meetings throughout the year for training, time in community, and leadership development. Please find the returning application hereApplication deadline: Friday, July 17, 2020.

This summer is the perfect opportunity to take your faith into your own hands, and for your youth to become owners of their faith. Below are books about faith, vulnerability, chaos, and the Bible; some tips about studying and learning from the Bible; and because we all have room to grow, resources for talking and thinking about race, social justice, and inequity.
