Supporting the Diocese of Western North Carolina
As we rebuild here in our own Diocese, we're in prayer for and
support of our neighbors in the Episcopal Diocese of Western North
Carolina, whose need is critical. The Diocese is currently directing its support to Spruce Pine, NC where they have the needs listed below. These can be dropped off at Christ Church. Contact Kevin Mertens with any questions.
COLD WEATHER ITEMS
- Small Generators
- Space Heaters
- Heavy-Duty Extension Cords*
- Children’s Coats
- Children’s Socks
- Men’s Boots
- Men’s Socks (Wool or Wool-Blend)
- Blankets
*We’ve learned that people are plugging in space heaters to generators, but regular extension cords can be a fire hazard, so a heavy-duty extension cord is needed.
EVERYDAY ITEMS STILL IN DEMAND
- Batteries
- Diapers
- Baby Formula
- Rice and Dried Beans
- Toilet Paper
