A Message from the Rector - Tragedy in Vestavia Hills

I awoke this morning to the horrific news of yet another shooting. St. Stephen’s in Birmingham is a parish where I have worshipped many times and have many friends.

We are all filled with grief for the victims, their families, and their friends. We are also saddened by the causes of such senseless violence.

Please know that your physical safety, emotional health, and your spiritual well-being are primary concerns of your leadership. We are considering all options to safeguard our community.

Please be attentive to emails from the church as they may contain information about additional security measures which have been put into place.

Please pray for all those affected by senseless violence.
