The Christ Church Angel Tree Store

Thank you so much for your generous support of the 3rd Annual Angel Tree Store. We are honored to be partnering with Legacy Early College to bring Christmas to 175 of their scholars. More about the Angel Tree Store and Legacy Early College.

The Details

The Angel Tree Store is a project which involves setting up a one-day toy store in the Elementary Gym at Legacy Early College and we will invite the parents of 175 children to come shop for their kids.

We have created an Amazon Wish List and a Sign Up Genius with a variety of toys complied from wish lists obtained from the scholars and popular toys this season. We will use these toys to set up a temporary toy store where parents will be able to choose a large, medium and small item for each of their children. This ministry will provide many opportunities for our generous congregation to get involved:

  • Purchasing toys
  • Volunteering in the store
  • Putting together toys
  • Praying with families
  • Numerous other opportunities

If you would like more information about the background of this project, please visit our blog post about the project.

How to Help - Toy Purchase to Stock the Store

Toys due no later than Wednesday, 12/06 but we are encouraging parishioners to shop early with expected shipping delays

Three Ways To

Stock the Store

There are three ways to participate in Stocking The Store so the parents invited to attend can shop for their children.

If you chose an Angel from the tree, you have the QR code which brings you to the three ways you can help us stock the store. There are many options from bikes and electronics to games and arts and crafts. The options to ‘shop” are linked below.

If you do not have a physical Angel from the tree, no problem! Just use the links below to pick a toy (or several toys) to Stock The Store.

Keep in mind that while the wish lists we collected serve as suggestions for the toys we will have in the store, the parents will make the ultimate decision on what their child will receive. Therefore, any gift you choose from the list below will bring joy Christmas morning to a child who may otherwise not get to experience presents under the tree.

See below for descriptions on how to shop for your Angel

Option One: Purchasing On Amazon

When you purchase a gift from the wish list linked below, the toy will be sent directly to Christ Church. There are large, medium and small gifts on the list so you can choose what level of financial commitment you are able to make. Feel free to buy multiple gifts as we want to make this year an overwhelming success! Gifts due no later than 12/06 BUT with the anticipated shipping delays we encourage you to shop early.

Option Two: Sign Up Genius (Purchasing In Store)

Use the link below to sign up for a gift (or gifts) you will purchase (names are anonymous) and bring UNWRAPPED to the front office of Christ Church. Keep in mind that these gifts are only suggestions and if you can not find the specific request something similar will be perfect! Gifts due no later than 12/06 BUT with the anticipated shipping delays we encourage you to shop early.

Option Three: Donations

If you would prefer to provide a donation that we will use to purchase toys to Stock the Store, you can either bring a check to the Front Office of Christ Church made out to Christ Church (please put Angel Tree Store in the Memo line) OR you can use the link below to make a donation.

A Note About Toys

Keep in mind that while the wish lists we collected serve as suggestions for the toys we will have in the store, the parents will make the ultimate decision on what their child will receive. Therefore, any toy you choose will bring joy Christmas morning to a child who may otherwise not get to experience presents under the tree.

How to Help - Stuff a Stocking

Stockings are available for children as part of the Angel Tree Store project. When you pick up your stocking, attached to it will be a name, gender and age of the child for whom you are filling the stocking. Please fill with age-appropriate items and return to the Parish House (in the old bookstore, room 251) no later than Monday, December 4.

Suggested Items:

Crayons, small toys, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, balls, candy, erasers, stickers, nail polish, coloring books, cards, UNO, etc.

FAQs

Do I send the gifts from the Amazon Wish List to my house or use the Address on File?
Please use the address on file which will send the gifts directly to the church.

What if I can’t find an item on the Sign-Up Genius?
No worries. Just find something similar. For example, the Our Generation dolls from Target are just as great as an American Girl Doll.

Where can I purchase the gifts from the Sign-Up Genius?
Anywhere – Walmart, Target, Costco, etc.

Do I bring the gift wrapped or unwrapped?
Unwrapped, please, so we can display them at the store.

I have some used toys that are in good condition, do you want these?
While gently used toys are great, the intention of this ministry is to create the look and feel of a real toy store. Therefore, we are requesting only new toys.

What about clothes and other necessary items?
While that is certainly a need, we are blessed in Greenville to have many organizations that support that need (especially around Christmas). This ministry is focused solely on the joy of Christmas that we believe every child (and parent) should be able to experience even if they have fallen on hard times. Part of the joy of being a parent at Christmas is picking out the perfect gift for your child and anticipating the excitement they will show Christmas morning when they open that gift. This ministry allows for the parents to experience that same joy.
