Adult Choirs
Christ Church Parish Choir
The Parish Choir is an adult choral ensemble, comprised primarily of parishioners who work alongside professional section leaders in preparing a wide variety of repertoire drawn from nearly 900 years of the Western sacred music tradition. From Gregorian and Anglican chant to African-American spirituals, the goal of the Parish Choir is to enhance our liturgical celebrations with beautiful music that is representative of the breadth and depth of the Anglican choral tradition. The Parish Choir assists in leading worship. The choir is on holiday for the month of July. Contact Donald W. Duncan, Director of Liturgy and Music, for more information.
Christ Church Handbell Choir
The Christ Church Handbell Choir adorns our liturgy with musical offerings throughout the program year and on special occasions. Utilizing a set of handbells cast by the famed Whitechapel Bell Foundry of London, this adult ensemble rehearses during the school year. Music reading skills are required, as well as a commitment to regular attendance at rehearsals. Contact Donald W. Duncan, Director of Liturgy and Music, for more information.
Markley Chapel Musicians
This ensemble of singers and instrumentalists perform under the direction of Chase McAbee, Assistant Parish Musician, and provides musical leadership for services in Markley Chapel. Basic music-reading ability, a pleasant voice that can blend well with others, and a commitment to regular rehearsals are the only prerequisites for membership.
Christ Church Organ
We are privileged to have a beautiful Goulding and Wood Pipe Organ to aid in the Musical Worship in the Church.
