The Book of Common Prayer defines Holy Matrimony as "a solemn and public covenant between a man and a woman in the presence of God." In the Episcopal Church, it is required that at least one of parties be a baptized Christian. At Christ Church, at least one of the persons wishing to be married must have been a member in good standing of the parish for one year or longer.
The very first step toward planning a wedding at Christ Church is for a couple to make an appointment with Sarah Marczynski, Program Coordinator for Music & Liturgy, at smarczynski@ccgsc.org.
